Cloudy (or rainy, or snowy) with a chance of babywearing?
When there is a chill in the air it's still easy to get out and about with your baby in a carrier! Our winter carrier cover works on pretty much any two-shouldered, wider-base baby carrier, including mei tais, SSCs, and even wraps! It works with the Scootababy hip carrier and I've been told you can even use it with a ring sling! Not to mention it's a great foot blanket for toddlers in the car or in a stroller. We have two versions this year: our original all-fleece version has a 200 weight fleece outer layer and a microfleece lining. Our new-this-year version has a sueded microfiber outer layer that is water-resistant and is lined with 200 weight fleece. Both versions work the same: you just lay the top flap of the cover over the top edge of your carrier and snap the flap down underneath the shoulder strap joints of your carrier. Then there is a foot pocket for your baby that has a gently elasticized edge that snugs in around his or her legs. You can even use it when back carrying by putting the top flap on the top edge of your carrier before putting it and baby on your back--and then you just reach behind you to tuck in baby's legs. Of course, we are (hopefully) heading *out* of carrier cover season, but in some parts of the world, everyday's weather is a lovely little surprise lately.
