Make sure your shoulder straps are clipped together to the same sides to form the shoulder loops. Lay carrier out flat on couch right side face down. Lay baby down on top of carrier with legs positioned above the waist strap

Sit down in front of baby and carrier. Bring bottom edge of carrier up against your back so that the right (front) side is resting against your body, between baby's legs. Buckle in front of you.

While leaning back, pull one shoulder strap up onto your shoulder.

Continuing to lean back, pull the other shoulder strap onto your shoulder.

Pull on both shoulder straps to bounce baby down into the carrier.

After standing up, take your hands beneath baby's legs to make sure he is well-seated and the fabric is not bunched.

Clip chest strap together if desired.

Finished back carry starting from couch!
