1
To use with a newborn with legs in "froggy" position, tie the carrier in front of you around the waist.

2
Hold your baby against your chest with legs naturally curled up a bit.

3
Pull the carrier up over baby's entire body, take straps over your shoulders to form an X in the back, just as with a normal front carry, and bring to the front to tie. Tie across the middle to close off the sides of the carrier.

4
Baby's head should be turned to one side and not buried in against your chest to ensure proper airflow. You may wish to use a folded up burp cloth between baby's cheek and your chest for additional support.
NOTE: The baby's arms may be in or out of the carrier. For smaller babies with less upper body control, inside the carrier (and poking out the sides under the straps) is preferable. For older/bigger babies who want more freedom of movement, having the straps under the armpits is fine. To shorten the carrier body, simply fold at the bottom before tying on.
