Lay carrier out flat on couch with straps stretched out.

Seat child on top of carrier with legs going above the waist straps.

Sit down in front of child and scoot yourself right up between his or her legs. Pull waist straps to your front and tie around your waist, making sure fabric is laying flat against your back to form a seat for baby.

Pull the shoulder straps up over your shoulders, bringing baby against your back.

Stand up and tighten shoulder straps so that baby is high enough (at or above waist). Bring straps down over the shoulders, like a backpack and tie in preferred method (twist or cross) back in front.
