Back carry is recommended from 5-6 months and up. When first learning, use instructions for back carry from a couch or chair. If you wish to use the chest (sternum) strap in a back carry, make sure you slide it onto the strap now. Clip each shoulder strap to its same-side center panel buckle to form a loop. Adjust webbing so that you have enough slack to pull onto shoulders easily.

Secure waist buckle behind you, then move carrier off to one hip.

Pick up child and position in middle of carrier.

Pull carrier body up behind child. While keeping a hand on child's back with carrier in place, scoot child and carrier around to your back while leaning forward.

Once child is centered on back, pull up one shoulder strap, then the other.

Adjust webbing to tighten straps. Remember the buckle adjusts in both directions.

Child's arms may be fully inside the carrier if desired.

Child's arms may also be out over the top edge of the carrier body. Clip chest strap together, if using.
